Part-Time CrossFit Trainer

Starting at 5-15 classes per week. CrossFit Level 1 required, Level 2 preferred.  Pay based on CrossFit Accreditation and/or years of coaching experience.

Level 1 – $20/class
Level 2 – $25/class
Level 3 – $30/class
Level 4 – $35/class

  • Gym pays for 50% of all approved professional development.
  • Position can potentially lead to Full-Time salaried position by years end.
Full-Time CrossFit Trainer

A Full-Time position will be available in Fall 2017

Position Description:

The candidate should have CrossFit coaching experience, have an exceptional ability to take on projects and complete tasks and have a great ability to connect with gym members and prospective members to grow the community. The CrossFit Trainer should have the ability to help support all operational functions of the business (with support and strategic guidance from the Owner and Head Trainer) and lead programs to generate new members and increase retention of current members. The CrossFit Trainer will coach athletes of all levels, from beginners to advanced athletes/competitors. The CrossFit Trainer should easily connect with a wide variety of people and be effective in helping gym members reach their full potential. They are expected to be experts at recognizing & teaching CrossFit movements. He/she is involved with and well respected in the local CrossFit community.  Ability to deliver excellence to serve our community of members is required – expectations are high!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of functional training as an athlete
  • 1+ year full-time CrossFit coach or 2+ years part-time CrossFit coach
  • CrossFit L2, additional certifications desired (L3/Coaches Prep, weightlifting, USAW, gymnastics, mobility, etc.)
  • Outgoing, warm personality with a focus on professionalism

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead coaching group classes (target is coaching 20-25 classes/week).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current athletes while also focusing on attracting new members and converting prospective members.
  • Office hours to respond to emails from members and prospects, update membership management system (Wodify – training is available), update website (WordPress), assist with facility maintenance and organization, attend team meetings, work on customer acquisition and retention projects, and implement other initiatives under direction from the Owner and Head Trainer.
  • Develop robust social media presence
  • Manage events for members and prospective members
  • Assist Head Trainer and Owner with managing team of 7 part time coaches
  • Respond in a timely manner to membership inquiries, provide information about our program and membership options
  • Plan and facilitate community and promotional events on a monthly basis
  • Occasional private coaching sessions
  • Implement programs under direction of the Head Trainer and Owner
  • Development of new programs and services
  • Excellent communication, time management, organizational and follow-up skills

Position Benefits Include:

  • Full-Time Salary ($42,000 – $47,000 based on experience)
  • Paid Time Off (2 weeks/year)
