Congrats to our very own Tim Slater for running the Pikes Peak Marathon again! Here’s his summary of the race below:
My overall time was 5:06:08, which is over 9 mins faster than last year. My ascent was only 1 minute faster, but my descent (which is definitely the hard part) was 8 minutes faster which is an improvement of over :30 secs faster per mile for the whole 13-mile descent. I got 29th overall and 6th in my age group. This is the 4th year I’ve done the Pikes Peak Marathon and I’ve taken 32:59 off of my first time three years ago. I want to keep working to break 5:00:00 in the future.
